Where do you purchase your raw almond butter? The only place around here that I can find it is Trader Joe's, but how do I know if it's really raw? HELP PLEASE

I don't buy it anymore. I make my own. Simple. Soak almonds. Rinse, rinse, rinse. Then using my Vita Mix I grind them. I have to stop, put the container in the fridge, because it will get hot, then continue until it's at the desired consistency. I may have to refrigerate it a few times. Some folks add oil, I don't...
The only way to know if a product is truly raw is to contact the company and ask their processing procedures. Even if a product says raw, it may not truly be. I tend to put my trust in them and knowing reliable sources.

i have trader joe's raw almond butter too. its only 5.99 for a 1 lb jar which is great compared to to the health food store where it's like 15 bucks for the same amount. too me, it tastes the same as the other raw brands ive eaten so i would hope its raw. i only get it once in a while so i guess its not a huge deal if its not but i think it is.

What scares me is if the Almond Board passes pasturizion of almonds where will we be able to get them? I can just see getting busted for buying almonds on the black market! What next?
