So, if one uses a filter such as Pura does it filter fluoride?

Hey, Zuri.

As far as I know, all off the shelf water filters (Pur, Brita, etc.) specifically do NOT filter fluoride. I think the only thing that will is a reverse osmosis filter.

Filtering your drinking water alone may not be enough, depending on the stats of your water supply. Your skin absorbs both water and the chemicals in it, so you are still exposing yourself when you shower or bather, wash your hands, wash your laundry, rinse/wash your fruits and vegetables and all dishes.

if anyone else knows of a different, cheaper filtration system that will filter fluoride, please let me know!

thanks!

Yes catdeveer is right on that. Water filters like Pura do not filter fluoride.

Normal filters cannot remove fluoride, you need reverse osmosis process for that.
