I am Just wondering if anyone would like to add to this thread their recipies that are quick, easy and budget friendly?

I'll start:
Sweet treat:
Ground almonds
pitted dates
What to do: Just pit the dates and roll them in the ground almonds.

What I did was took the pit out and then pressed the dates out flat into the ground almonds, subsequently making somewhat of a roundish, flattish type cookie concoction.

grated carrot and beet salad...

you can make it grated carrot, beet, grated apple, ginger, and a little ACV dressing...

or just grated carrots, beets, ginger and dressing if you don't like to combine the fruits and veg.

This is a great and delicious and nutritious salad especially in the winter or late fall when salad stuff and veggies are expensive but root veggies are cheap.

If you need to limit your oils for any reason, I find a grated beet salad dressed with just vinegar and left to mellow will taste ok without oil too, the sweetness of the beets mellows the vinegar. (if you use non raw condiments it's nice with balsamic).

Alissa's Kim Chee if you like that sort of thing.

I also use a little fermented hot chili pepper paste from the Asian store (it's actually raw;) ) to give it that real kim chee taste.

oh, yeah, I make a big batch of Alissa's kim chee every couple of weeks or so. I use napa cabbages; they're cheap, and provide a ton of zinc which is hard to get on a low-fat raw vegan diet.
