I just want to concur with the more experienced Rawsters that going completely off RAW for a few days feels like Hell!

We had a block party on Saturday and then I had a graduation party here on Sunday for my sister, and I didn't put any thought or consideration into myself or what I could do to maintain my progress as far as my eating.

Let me tell you, just as so many people have posted on here before, I woke up Monday morning feeling like I had the flu. Beer, chips, salsa, casseroles, cake...you name it, I ate it (no meat, but other garbage). Monday and Tuesday, I have had severe sinus drainage, intense headaches and insane nausea. My body aches and I tried to get on track this morning with a green smoothie, but it tasted so horrible to me (normally I LOVE the smoothies) that I had to force some of it down and then I ended up dumping it and eating an apple. I'm going to try again for lunch to eat a smoothie.

Perhaps you are one of those people that needs to be slapped down in order to learn a lesson, but if you aren't, take it from me...the feeling of falling off the RAW wagon is miserable - and perhaps may be enough to deter you from getting off track in the first place.

Happy Munching!:D

This is EXACTLY why I don't eat SAD/CRAP food. After over a year raw can you imagine how I would feel and what that would do to my body? UGH!!!

Yep, it's a nasty feeling! Your body is NOT HAPPY when you have been giving it all these wonderful foods and then dump poison back into it!

Just a word of warning too...the cravings when jumping back on the wagon can be fierce for the first few days/week. That cooked crap is addictive!

You ain't lyin' about those cravings!!

All day today I've been eying those leftovers in the fridge. But I ended up mashing up an avocado and eating it after my lunch smoothie and it did seem to quell the cravings.

I sure hope I remember this feeling!

This Thread got me to think
dose this mean that if I start the smoothie diet then I should not eat things like my spinage pies or veggie garden burgers ?
dose this raw food diet mean no whole foods ?
please explain thank you

As long as your spinach pies and garden burgers are raw, you are fine. Are these items that you are making yourself out of raw ingredients?
