It really isn't major but it's really getting to me.
SO, my acne is completely kicking up. (second week raw?) And haven't lost any weight at all.
I know I shouldn't focus on the number on the scale, however, I do train every morning, and by train I mean athletics. And so I could understand the number not changing on the scale, but my clothes don't fill any looser. In fact, they might feel tighter, but that's probably me just worrying too much.
any suggestions?
I'm starting to lose patience. =/:(

Hey Priscilagj....please don't fret.....I feel your pain, and I know how frustrating it is. I'm one month raw...100% by the way, and have yet to really lose any significant amount of weight. In my first week or so, I actually DID gain weight.....I ate waaaay too many nuts and dried fruits in the determination to stay raw, though. I asked the same question you did, when I wasn't seeing the results I expected, and was hoping for, and was told to just keep going, the weight, if it needed to come off, would, in time. Just keep in mind that this is only the beginning, and your body has to adjust to eating this way. Heck, I'm STILL waiting for a real amount of weight loss, but I just keep doing what I'm doing, tweaking my eating habits bit by bit, ie. less nuts, and trust that everything will fall into place. Whatever you do, don't give up....I know it's frustrating....and don't go by the number on the scale...even though I haven't lost tons of weight, my measurements have been going down, so SOMETHING must be working! As far as acne.....I think it will take longer than 2 weeks for your body to rid itself of toxins that cause skin problems. Again, feel your pain, and although I still break out, after one month, my skin is slowly repairing itself.....again, give it time. We all want results, and we want them now, and I think that this lifestyle lends itself to a gradual change as opposed to a quick fix. I don't have any solutions for you, only my support.....good luck, and trust me when I say that even though things are taking longer than I want, I feel way better now than I did eating a SAD diet, and taking it day by day is a better way to ensure that this way of eating becomes ingrained in my daily life. Not everyone will lose 30lbs. in 30 days....I didn't, but don't let that deter you from keepin' on!! I hope you find what you're looking for...

Hi Priscilagj,

Hey, you've 'just' been into it for two weeks.
It takes time for your body to adjust, and it will.
Usually, when your body gets rid of toxins, things can get seemingly worse for a while, like in this case, your acne. That's actually a góód sign :) .
Don't worry about it, it will clear up as you go along.
Unfortunately, there aren't any quick fixes and it will take patience and time... You probably didn't get acne or put on weight (if that's really the case) in one day, so you can't be expecting to lose it in one day either. And that can be frustrating at times.
Keep focusing on the improvements, how small they might be, finetune your diet (maybe you eat too many nuts, seeds and oils, too many dried fruits?) and keep it up. It's definitely worth trying and you'll definitely be rewarded, so give yourself a chance! You're body is changing in a very positive manner as we speak and although you may not see it yet, lots of important changes are happening underneath!
Let us know how you're doing!

I've been high raw for over a month now and I just started to see some weight loss. And I'm still having some acne flare-ups, but I'm not 100% so I think the detox will last longer for me. I know it's hard, but trust the process and keep plugging away. :p

"A watched pot never boils" - put the scale away for a while, hang in there, and things WILL follow suit!! In the interim, drink lots of green smoothies - they are a complete and delicious meal that will satiate your appetite. BTW, bloating (which is only normal during transition) is possibly the reason your clothes are fitting a little tighter. That too, will soon pass. ~ Cathy

yeah im experiencing a bit of bloating too, especially when i eat too many nuts/dried fruits and other fats so im focusing more on veggies at the moment. i was eating raw honey for a while but that was worsening my acne/not really helping it so i cut it out and my skin is getting nicer again. now i'm deciding what else i want to move away from, probably grains. they tend to make me bloat too.

yeah, I realize I was eating way too many dried fruits, so I'm stopping those for a while. At least until I can get back on them without abusing them. (I hate abusing stuff) I hope it's the bloating guys. My BMs (sorry) just got back to normal. but you're definitely right! IT'S PROCESS!! =]
