I am SO craving this right now. Desperately.

Is the Tostitos salsa raw at all?

Any recipes?

*cry*

Does Alissa's recipe give the same watery/chunky texture as the tostitos salsa?

Is there any way I can make chips without a dehytrator?

For salsa, make yourself some Pico de gallo.

I don't know exact measurements but this is what is in it.

Raw diced tomato, remove seeds.
Diced onion, just a little
cilantro
lime juice
cumin powder
sea salt

I can't help you with the chips, but maybe if you eat the salsa with sliced yellow bell peppers you'l be able to get thru the craving.

Oh, and VeganForLife would tell you to have a green smoothie. They're excellent for getting thru the cravings.

The vitamix blender or food processor works great for making salsa and it is better than the stuff from the store.

mmmm I love chips and salsa. I also don't have a dehydrator, but for my last dinner party I used the oven to slightly dry out zucchini and sweet potato 'chips' and then sprinkled them with sea salt for flavour... then I served them with a salsa trio. Here's the recipe for the salsas, they look so amazing on the plate, so colourful and fresh, that thoughts of your cravings for the boring sludgy cooked kind will be quickly driven out of your mind!

Tomato-Chilli Salsa

2 ripe tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 green chilli, seeds removed, very dinely chopped
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
sprinkle of cumin
salt and pepper to taste

Avocado-Lime Salsa

1 ripe but slightly firm avocado cut into small cubes
juice of 1 lime
salt and pepper
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup roughly torn coriander leaves

Pineapple-Mint Salsa

1 cup finely chopped pineapple
salt and pepper
1/2 cup roughly torn mint
1 tsp olive oil
salt and pepper

Toss ingredients for the separate salsas together... separately!! then serve either in individual bowls or layered in a glass bowl. MMMMMM... :D

RawCutter... That looks ABSOLUTELY fabulous!!! I LOVE Alissa's corn chips and can't wait to put your toppings on it! BTW, what is the recipe for the cashew cream? I didn't see it in Alissa's book...
