I have been VERY sick as of late (long story but I am not doing well at all) and all I can seem to keep down is broth or liquids like water, juice, etc. SO I am looking for a green smoothie recipe with the most nutritional value that I could drink throughout the day and get the most calories (say around 1000 total for the whole recipe)and optimal nutrition that will help me get my strength back..I guess I am looking for the power punch!!!

Thanks.

Cheers,

Heather

Hi Heather,

A handful of parsley in there for part of the "green" is super nutritious. I use mango and bananas to get the calories up. A little ground flax seed is a good thing to add, too.

hope you feel better,

Anne Wigmore's energy soup is
6 cups weeds or baby green sprouts or sunflower greens
2 cups beansprouts
2 tablespoons dulse/other seaweed
1 apple or papaya or 2 cups watermelon
1/2 avocado
rejuvalac or water or juice (try carrot juice)

It tastes disgusting so I add more fruit. bananas/apples/oranges/watermelon/papaya
Its really powerful!!
