does hemp powder count as a "green food powder"????
i mean, its powdered hemp leaf, which makes me think yes...
but its so full of protein and healthy fats, most "green leaf" powders are not.
so even though its mostly known as a protein powder,
does it count as a green food?
and does my question make any sense at all?!?! LOL!
either way i love it.
im just wondering.
cheers :)

I would think so. Maybe not as full-spectrum as other green powders are, but it's green, it's a plant, and it's a powder...so it's a green powder :)
I use it daily, and I LOVE it. The texture is a bit grainy, but I like the flavor with bananas and cacao.

I dunno, it just gives me peace of mind having one or two meals a day where I know I'm getting all 10 essential amino acids at once. It's the old SAD eater inside of me. haha
I'm all out :( I have maybe 2 tsp. left in the bottom of my jar....*runs to VitaminShoppe*

I have had some sitting in my pantry for a few weeks and have not been sure what to do with it. The grainy texture kinda turned me off. How do you use it with the bananas and cacao? Any other ideas? Thanks!

I use a couple tablespoons hemp with 2 frozen bananas, water to desired consistancy, 1-2 tbsp cacao *the more the better*, a bit of stevia and 1 tsp maca.
Alot of the time I'll add cinnamon, a couple tablespoons of various other green/superfood powders, as I've found that I can't taste them at all with the banana/cacao/hemp mixture, vs. with fruit alone.

oh, lol, you actually make something with it. im always too lazy. i just cut the banana into little pieces in a bowl and stir them around in a scoop of hemp... LOL! kinda powdery but i love it.
are you from canada, then? i dont think they can get hemp in the states.

Nope, I'm in California! Hemp is legal : )
I buy this: http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/livingharvest/home.d2w/report
Thank GOD it's legal! Nothing is sacred these days. All the good stuff is under attack by pharmaceutical companies and the stupid FDA....

Its very much legal here. I dont use it much anymore, but I did when I first went raw. I still use it (in a simple smoothie) from time to time when I am in a rush and need something fast.

I think hemp powder is made from hemp seeds/nuts rather than leaves...

Yeah, the hemp powder here is made from the seeds, not the leaves. If you look at the ingredients it says 100% raw organic hemp seeds. I don't know whether others are made from the leaves...I've never heard of that.
