So I leave for school in a week and will be living in an apartment this year, and I decided that I'd need a blender and a food processor. Rather than spending the money for both, I decided I'd get a magic bullet hahaha...gotta love the infomercial. I can use it as a blender to make smoothies, and I can even use it to mix up dressings and other things--even pulse up some nuts and dates if I want to make a dessert or something....I'm kind of excited hahaha

I love, love, love my magic bullet. I also have a vita mix but I use the heck out of my magic bullet every day.
I think they should have advertised it as the raw foodists best friend. lol
Although one does not have to have a magic bullet, For $50 it is a great investment. (imo)

My son bought me a magic bullet for Mother's Day and I use it regularly for smaller amounts. I love it and it works so well!

I love my magic bullet too ... I'm taking it to the house me and my friends are renting next year for school ... Just make sure if your grinding something like dates and nuts for a recipe to NOT leave the bullet locked for more than a minute because it will overheat and stop ... I just keep pulsing mine and then taking it off, mixing with a spoon, and pulsing until I'm satisfied :)

great point you made....yes, be sure not to leave it on long. It will over heat. But if you pulse it, it works great! I have had mine over a year now and it still works like a charm. A real work horse. :)

I love my Magic Bullet too! The best part is the cups. I can fill them up with smoothie ingredients the night before with the lid on in the fridge. In the morning, I just take the lid off, snap the blades on, blend it up and snap the travel lid back on to drink in the car. Great if you're not a morning person and every second counts.:)

I just bought one when I go down to school (2 days!). It's the perfect size for one person!!

I use all the attachments to my magic bullet! The smaller cup is just perfect for my salad dressings! I love to make two drinks in the morning. I drink one on the way to work and put the lid on the other and that is my lunch along with some fruit (a texas sized peach today) It was sooooo good. The magic bullet keeps me organized as I too store my fixings in the cups and in the morning, I grab them from the fridge and zip, zap, I'm ready to go.
I have fresh watermelon juice in the (blender)pitcher that comes with it. :-)

I have one. I use it mainly for grinding flax, but also to make smoothies for my daughter. It only makes a small amount though.

I got mine and unlike the infomercial - it takes a few tries to get it to blend ice - I have to keep taking it off base and shaking and restirring the ice
is this the same with everyone or do have a faulty bullet
thinking of taking it back b/c it seem like more effort than the cheap $9 mini foodprocesser I got - but I'd really like it top work for me

I just love my Magic Bullet also! I guess I dont need to go buy a food processor. It does everything! I would like to get a spiral slicer and maybe a food dehydrator someday when I learn more about how to do that. I've been raw 1 week so far. I am still learning!

i love my magic bullet too death. mine recently died. the plastic piece inside broke off (grinding rock hard dates). i would suggest that people get the extended warranty for 15 bucks that is advertised in the recipe book.
i forgot to add that i had it for 2+ years and took it out of country and everywhere i traveled. i recently bought an imposter, it was the biggest mistake because i know how fast the magic bullet is and the imposter could not compare with the strength. mine would still be alive if i stopped it after it was getting stuck on the dates but i turned it off 2 seconds to late :( .

I love my magic bullet too. I saw it several times on infomercials and never bought it. Then I finally decided to buy it. I'm happy I did, it is so convenient.

Jeez, now I want a magic bullet. Costco has them right now. I can't remember for how much, but I'm sure it's a good price. I'm not sure I really need one because I have a vitamix and a food processor and limited counter space, but it just sounds so good. Ooooh, I'm tempted!

I just got a Magic Bullet for christmas and it perfect for me. I don't have the room or money for a big blender and a big food processor because I move a lot. The best part is that you can make small amounts of things easily, which was impossible in the big old blender I was using. I also love the mugs, I can make my green smoothie and drink it out of the same container. It is also really easy to clean! Love it!

Any feedback on whether or not it can make a creamy green smoothie?

I bought one, but it bit the dust after only a month. Luckily we bought it at Costco, and they have a good return policy. It came in handy for somethings. I liked it for grinding nuts. I didn't like it for chopping vegetables. It purees them. I never tried a green smoothie in it. If you try it, I'd put soft fruits like bananas in it. I'm not sure if it could handle apples too well, but I'm not sure since I didn't try green smoothies in it.

I've found them real cheap and the attachments are cheap too.
Better than buying retail.

I love my magic bullet! It's perfect for whenever we just want a super quick smoothie in the morning or if I want to make a dressing for than or later. I tend to feel I make too much or too little when I use a blender. So my magic bullet is perfect. :] *hugs my magic bullet*:p

It's great for grinding sunflower seeds and flax seeds with the flat blade for the crackers/breads I make. I've had my Magic Bullet over three years and I would buy a new one if I had to.
I make fruit puddings and dressings with it, and I use the large pitcher attachment for my smoothies. It blends frozen fruit and ice no problem. That's a test of a good blender. This morning I made a smoothie with frozen mango and frozen blackberries and it turned out great....yesterday a slushy honeydew melon drink with ice. It works with green smoothies--just blend the greens and liquid first.

Are you talking about the large pitcher you use for juicing?
How do you use it for making smoothies and the mango ice?

Hi Bethanie, yes I use the large pitcher (with handle and lid) that is also used with the juicing attachment that goes inside the pitcher. I never found the juicing attachment useful, though. As for the pitcher, just screw the cross blade onto the bottom, throw in your ingredients and blend away as you would with any blender.
For the honeydew cooler:
2 cups honeydew melon chunks
juice of half a lemon
1/2 tsp. honey
6 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients in a blender until all the chunks are gone and it is a slushy consistency. To make it more tart, use the juice of a whole lemon. More sweet, use 1 tsp honey.
And the mango blackberry smoothie:
Blend frozen mango chunks (about 2 cups), frozen blackberries (about 1 cup), juice of 1/2 lemon, 1 tsp. honey, enough water to thin it.
Also, I forgot to mention another thing I do with the Magic Bullet. I dehydrate celery and grind it with the flat blade and small cup to make celery powder. I'd imagine the same would work with onion and garlic.

I was kinda starting to think I was crazy until I read this. A couple of years ago I ordered a magic bullet. (They were doing a crazy promotion and ended up giving me a second one for free!) Well, when I got it I was pretty let down. It had difficulty processing things and everything just ended up chunky, not ground. I got rid of it when I moved and tried to give the unopened second one away, but nobody would take it. Hahaha. I guess I had a bad one too. Today I have a food processor and there's a vitamix on the way, so I'm stoked about that. :D

I have a magic bullet. I don't like it. It can't blend ice or frozen fruit. If you use it for more than a minute it overheats. The juicing attachment doesn't work. It is super loud, louder than my vitamix. There are too too too many parts. I lose things easily, so I don't like things with a billion parts.
I love my vitamix. I got the magic bullet as a gift, to use as a smaller blender to bring with me to college. I think I'll be bringing the vitamix to college, instead.

the magic bullet is POO. its nothing like the infomercials say it is. it doesn't chop nuts very well at all. i like my coffee grinder better.

The magic bullet is MAGICAL. I use it every day, at least twice a day. It grinds my flax seeds, hemp seeds, nuts, frozen/fresh fruit, leafy greens. Mine even does ice really well! I even made apple sauce one day for my baby nephew, so yeah, if you take off the peel, it does apples like a pro. =D
