My husband and I are vegan and working on more raw foods. We are looking for new supplements. We have taken Amazon herb products, and supernutrition vitamins, but would like to try something new. We drink green smoothies daily. I have looked at E3 live, Pure Synergy and some others. Wanted to see what supplements people like. :)

In the past (when I was 'cooked') I've had good results with:
- spirulina (good quality, for example Marcus Rohrer)
- Essential Organics multivitamins (like FemPlex, or Sport vitamins)
- good quality Aloë Vera juice
- beepollen (ok, not vegan, but a very good source of nutrients)
- mineral rich teas like rooibos and honeybush, green tea, nettle and the like
(don't underestimate the nutricional value of herbs)
I also used clay, but didn't find it that fantastic. It seems to help with mineral deficiencies due to it's high mineral content, but it doesn't do a lot in the other departments (vitamins, amino acids) and I like something a little more complete.
Furthermore, wheat grass juice may be a good and strong supplement although not the 'easiest' (I mean, you have to get it in a special juicebar, order it or grow it yourself), personally I never had it before, but it's something I would like to try.

At the moment I'm taking Bio Strath, which is a fermented supplement from Switzerland. It's based on natural raw products and very rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids plus enzymes. It also has certain/good bacteria in it due to the fermentation process and B12 (if that's something you're concerned about). It seems very complete and isn't expensive at all, like a lot of superfoods or natural, high quality supplements.
I never heard of Bio Strath before, I just stumbled upon it a few days ago.
Due to a stressful and very tiring period, I feel I just nééd something extra, so besides ordering a whole bunch of spirulina, I also ordered Strath.
It's just my second day on the stuff, so I can't say that much about it yet, except for that I have a really good feeling about it.

I use Alissa's green food powder, which is jammed packed with land and sea veggies, spirulina and purslane (fresh from my yard) in my green smoothies. Also maca powder and ground flax in the smoothies.

With this great change in my eating habits, I had not considered supplements seriously. We take a Vitamin B heavy on B12 advised by our physician for some time now long before going RAW, and were pleased about that because we have never been much on meat, etc. Now you have me wondering. With all the green spinach, etc., in the green smoothies, would I still need more green as in a supplement?
