On Aug 7th I started my 30 days Raw challenge. Today I messed up and had rice, white rice at that. I will not make this mistake again. Do you think I should start over or just add one day to my 30 day challenge? Right now I'm on Day 4 or maybe I'm on day 3 but I'm counting Aug 7th so I'll say Day 4..
What would you do?
Something in my soul is telling me Raw is what I need to be and I think if I can survive 30 days I can do this forever. I also feel I really need a dehydrator to help me with my bread cravings. I havn't had any bread but I want it.
No only is raw important to me but even if I was just vegan I don't want to consume any Gluten or Dairy so processed bread is out of the question.

That would depend on what the word "raw" means to you. Many are willing to say they are raw at plus/minus 70%. For me, I say it's 100% and I would start over. If it stresses you to do so, better to just continue on and then, when you've reached 30, add another 3-4 to make it 30. How's that sound?

I'd just keep going personally - and add a day (or days) on to the end if you want. Maybe it's just me - but well - I just don't think its any big deal. You pick up - keep going and determine to be 100% RAW.... just keep telling yourself... the benefits you will gain at the end of the 30 days will be so worth it. this is a gift you are giving yourself... it's not depriving yourself of anything... but blessing yourself with the gift of GLOWING VIBRANT BEAUTY AND LIFE!!
COME ON DOC... you can do this!! ;)

When I mess up and eat cooked food, I just continue to count it as a raw day. I have had a few of those in the last 3 weeks. If I start over, I get discouraged and feel like I have failed. When I count it as a raw day, I feel like a raw healthy person who ate a cooked meal instead of a cooked person who just can't get the raw thing down. It's definitely a mental thing and you know how your mind works best. Hope this helps. :D

Don't feel like you have to start over. Even the "raw guru's" make mistakes and they most likely wouldn't start over from day one. Raw is raw.....if you ate any raw food today be 60% or 100%, it's still raw! Some people have a hang up about being 100% or you are out of the game. That's silly. Relax, take a deep breath and repeat after me, "I will do better tomorrow." There now, don't you feel better? Now go have a green smoothie :D
