where can i buy liquid smoke..looked everwhere in my coop and other commercial grocery stores..can anyone help. i live in brooklyn, ny. thanks

It's in the regular grocery stores. You have to look near the bbq & steak sauces.

What is liquid Smoke? Is it a natural or raw product?

thanks for the response..i did look in that section of the grocery store yet can not find it. Is it under another name besides liquid smoke..like worchester (sp?) sauce or browning?

Liquid Smoke is a relatively natural food ingredient used to add a smokey flavor, similar to what is obtained when cooking over an open wood fire (see barbecue). The product is produced by burning hardwood chips (notably hickory) and condensing the smoke into a liquid form. The liquid is then scrubbed and filtered to remove all impurities. It is most often used to flavor meat, poultry, and seafood.

I got it at Shaw's. Made for a yummy hot dog and eggplant burgers. =)
