Frozen bananas

About how long will bananas keep in the freezer with the peel off? Any ideas?

Hey there! I actually freeze my bananas WITH the peels ON. I did this out of desperation last december when I was going away and literally had about 6 pounds of bananas left and just put them in my freezer. To thaw I take out a banana or two and put in a bowl of cool water. Within minutes the peel is ready to slide off. The bananas don't oxidize (turn brown) as badly as the peeled frozen ones. For how long? Not sure. I know those I used the last of probably in June? So that was a good long time from Dec-June...

I freeze bananas with the peel OFF, and they keep for months. I'd say at least 4 months, safely.
