I want to drink green smoothies, but I can't get them to go down. I don't like the thickness of them even after adding water. I have been drinking green juices and these go down fine. My question is this... Is it only the fiber that is the difference between green smoothies and green juice? I think I get quite a bit of fiber everyday just eating raw.

Just a thought, but if you do not like the thickness of the green smoothies you have been making, why not just make them thinner from the start? No? ~ Cathy

I agree - thin them out. And yes, you may be getting a lot of fiber during the day, but even if you chew a bit of salad, spit it out in your hand. There are still big pieces there, which won't be broken down anymore. Smoothies break it down to the point of the moment it hits your tongue your body can start using it. There's not enough chewing in the world to get your food like that...
