Inspired by Veganforlife, I decided to try making a totally green smoothie.

So out I went to the vegetable garden and had a look for likely candidates;

beet greens, savoy cabbage, runner beans (pole beans), bulb fennel, parsley, green sweet pepper and two garlic cloves. A handful of each.

Whanged it through my VitaMax.

The results...strangely enough, very drinkable, not as funky as I was expecting, and since my garden is organic, and the veggies juiced 5 minutes after picking, it has got to be good for me!

Ahhh, that's what I call in my smoothie book the Fridge mix. I like fresh from the garden even better! If you've got apples, you might wish to add one to make it JUST a lil bit better.

Revvellicious :)

Well the follow up has got to be how you feel afterwards. I made two small wine glasses full, just under 1/2 pint.

Strange effects:
Slight tingle on the lips, disappeared within a minute or so.

I was offered a crisp (chip) at a friends today, an hour after the first glass. Yuuuck! Major breakthrough, as I can be a real monster when it comes to crisps.

I was also given a nice glass of red wine, which I promptly spat out as it tasted revolting. No-one else thought the wine was bad...how embarassing.

Still this is good, or I think so. Tomorrow the garden smoothie will be back on the menu, but maybe in shot glasses.

My cooked meal tasted weird today too. So maybe I have timed it just right for my transition to 100% Raw.

Food today:
Raw fruit muesli
Apple and lemon juice
home-made tuscan beans with rice (cooked)
2 garden green smoothies
Sprouted hoummus and veggies for dipping
