I have been RAW about 2 and a half weeks. I am 71. My results have been amazing. Anyone else over 60 going RAW?

I'm 62. I was 100% raw for a year but quit and went back to a mix of raw and cooked foods. After about 8 years of grain, fruits and veggies, I'm back to eating as much raw as I can and have lots of 100% days.

Thanks so much for your post! I started a bit over 2 weeks ago and have been amazed. I had taken anti depressants for about 20 years and now I feel so wonderful emotionally . . . much better than I ever felt with the meds! This is dificult for me to figure!

After your being raw for a year was there a reason for your quitting? Did you see some adverse effects that caused the change for you? I have so much to learn and am anxious to do so. Would appreciate your sharing.

I am so glad for you.

When I was 100% raw their was so many good things that happened and I was delighted. Living alone it was easy to stay raw but my daughter and her family moved in with me and there was cooked food everywhere. But the main reason is I just didn't have enough information at that time and not enough sources of good quality raw food. I lost too much weight because I wasn't eating enough and in the winter I couldn't keep myself warm. I am so thankful for the information shared on this board. It is encouraging and informative. More sources of good quality raw foods are popping up in my area so I am looking forward to being 100% raw. It is easier to dealing with cooked food craving for me if I am 100% raw.
