New here from Florida

Hi I am new here. (shuffling my feet and looking bashful) I have been mostly raw for about 2 weeks. The weekend are tough. I have 4 kids and my mil lives with us. I am the only raw gal in my family. I made my first green smoothie yesterday and was quite impressed. I have a variety of health issues. I have hypothyroidism and take meds and also have had 2 surgeries to remove a tumor in my ear...whole other story. Anywho I am 5foot 6. And 159 pounds (ugh) I actually have lost 8 pounds in the past 2 weeks with my new healthy life style. I went to the Dr. today and they said you need to be in the 140's are you still going to the gym and I said yes and she said you are getting closer to 40 and it will be difficult to lose the weight then so you need to try now...I went home and cried b/c although I was so proud of the accomplishment I had made I was deflated. But I am just going to focus on positive energy and doing what I need to do for myself. I feel great being raw. I have no cravings for anything cooked. Funny how that happens. I do have a craving for avacadoes. Yummy, I eat them on a slice of ezekial with a tomatoes and I can't get enough of them. I am ordering Alissas book and am so looking forward to a wonderful healthy lifestyle.
Well, I have so rambled on here sorry. Just wanted to say who I am and what is going on. I am looking forward to any advice and input and all the inspiration I have found on this site so far. Thank you!

Wow you guys are awesome thank you. I am enjoying the journe so far and surrounding myself with positive people. Only positive vibes here...thank you for the warm welcome. It is nice to know that there are others that are walking the same or similar journey with you.:D

I am the only raw girl in my household of 6, but am making it work! Stay focused on the positive and you will do wonderful!

Congrats on the weight loss, too. I have lost 20 pounds in the last month and am loving it! Raw Rawks!!!! Oh yeah!

I am from Florida and new here as well! I am just beginning my raw journey. My husband and two teen-aged daughters are not quite on board yet - but they are open minded! My goal is to have a 100% raw family as soon as possible! I won't push them but I'm sure once they see how great I feel they will want to experience the same benefits!:D
