lindam new raw foodie

Hello ,I am new to the ct area as well as new to the raw food experience. I would love to have some info on local meeting or pot lucks in the new haven area or near by. I would love to have some advice on starter menus as well .I am 53 years old and need a change. I was vegetarian in my 20's but lost my way. I felt awesome then and would like to go raw now. Any advice words of encouragement........?
