Hello everyone, it is great to meet you all :)

I have been a vegetarian for a couple of years now, but feel it is time to move forward. I am so glad I found this site!

Please help guide this newbie in her quest for RAW, and hopefully I may even surprise you all with a few recipes.

I have just ordered Alissa's book and DVD, but am in a bit of a limbo whilst I wait for them to arrive. Can you suggest a few ideas to help me move forward until they arrive?

I am eating two RAW meals a day, a couple of juices, and a third meal that is part raw, part cooked.

I want to lose some weight, but gradual is good. My goal is to feel better and exercise more. Thanks to my labrador Alys, we go walking once a day, normally anything from 2 - 6 miles depending on the weather. I also lift weights.

I live in the Morvan National Park, and am renovating an old farmhouse to make a Vegan B&B / guesthouse, there are only two others in Burgundy!

Thank you all for your kind words. I was particularly touched by those who generously wrote in French. Vous êtes très gentille! :)
I am Scottish, so my first language is English, my second is French with some Gaelic and Patois. If you prefer to write in English, please do so. If anyone wants to practise their written French, that is ok too!

à la prochaine,

Judy

Bonjour Judy et bienvenue! What do you say in patois?

French is my second native language, and I heard enough Spanish growing up, and have been to Portugal and Brazil, that I mix them up all the time and say things like "vergogne" (honte, es:verguenza), "empruntar", "ciedo" (tôt, pt:cedo), and "alfandegar" (in a Spanish sentence when I returned from Brazil; fr:douane=es:aduana, but Portuguese say "alfândega").
