Hi there . I'm Scott her boyfriend with type 2 daibetes. I 've been working hard on my diet and exercise. I met people who have it too and have loss thier legs, eyes, and etc. I do not want to go down that road at all. Mindy has been a new spring of life to me and has shown me a much better way of eating. My dad was also a bad daibetic that did not care or did not know how to eat right. I want to reverse that.
Recently I went out to eat at a resturant I ate a lot of salad, greens and a small piece of meat (size of a half of a cup). I didn't eat any breads or
deserts. Later my blood suger went really low. I've been decreasing my insuln so it wont be too low. It has went low as 30, way too low. I will talk to my docter about it.
Would you have any suggestions about how I can learn to balance my suger levels. Like how much fruit, vegetables and etc. should be in my diet?
How much fruit, vegetables and etc is in your diet? How much activities do you do daily, do you have a limit!
Thanks for your time and help! We hope things get better for you! Have a great day and take care!

It's none of my business but I just wanted to say, GOOD FOR YOU, SCOTT!!! Diabetes was going to be in my future so I had to get serious and that's why I'm here. (Plus I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds!)

I'm so happy to hear that you've chosen to go this way. I know Mindy frets over you. This will help her too!

It's none of my business either but I just wanted to give you my very best wishes. I have a mother and uncle who've lost their eyesight to diabetes, as well as several cousins who are getting progressively sicker. They all believe that there's nothing they can do about it :( . But there is! My aunt was diagnosed years ago, hit a real-health low 5 years later, went on a healthy diet, began exercizing, and now at 75 looks and acts like a 50 year old.

All my good wishes!

This might sound funny, but I've just started this rawfoodtalk board and I don't know what p.m. means!! How do I get to it, so I can get the number for Scott to talk to Sweet Lips?
Thanks everyone for everything!! Take care, have a great day and I wish everyone the best!

p.m. is private message.

To send someone a private message, what I do is click on their user name which is in the upper left corner of the message boxes. A menu will pop down, and then click on send private message.

To read any private messages, that others may have sent you, from the home page, there is I think a red or orange box, in the upper right corner. It will tell you if you have any private messages.

Good luck, and I hope I explained correctly.

To get to the PM's people have written you (I don't think there's a link where Tracy said... that or I'm crazy), you can click "User CP" at the top of the page. Then click "Private Messages" to the left and select "InBox". Good luck!
