Most of my garden is doing really well.

BUT my zucchinis are rock hard. Even the baby ones are hard.

Do any of you know why this is? Or how to correct it?

I am also having a hard time growing carrots and radishes. They are taking a really long time to get to the point where we can harvest them.

I am wondering if there is a reason for all of the above.

Yet, the greens, tomatoes, herbs, etc.... all do very well.

Is it the skins that are hard on the zukes and not the insides or the whole zuke? My first thought was your soil. Maybe it's lacking something. If there is an extension agency close by, I'd call or e-mail them. It may be something organic you can add to your soil to improve the veggies.

Yes, the whole thing is hard. It is odd.

I was wondering about the soil too. That will be the next learning curve next year.

Thanks for your help!
