Again, let me reiterate my deepest enthusiasm as I am surrounded by many positive and inspirational raw foodists. Since I last wrote, I've been chugging down the green drinks/green shakes and enjoying a lot of the raw chocolate products (not too much). I even purchased some items from Alissa's selections. Oh yea, I also tended an awesome "Raw Food Pot Luck" and met some of Austin's most dedicated raw foodists and each and every one of them "glowed", their eyes...their spunk...I can now see that the Raw Lifestyle brings out the "glow" in people ;) Yemiah and her husband Dave hosted it, and they have this awesome site called radicalhealth.com -- very inspiring couple!!!

For me it is Day # 9 and I've lost six pounds and I am a work-out/fitness freak and am at about 20-21%% body fat and did not intend to lose but a few more pounds to fit into a dress better, but other than that I perceive this as a lifestyle change for me instead of a diet. Let me say that before this diet, my personal trainer was starving me and putting me on these ridiculous poison energy bars while enforcing 2 hours of cardio/strength training and I was still retaining water and only lost but half a pound a week! I figured that years of consuming those SAD protein bars must have impacted the way my organs functioned, and my nutritionist informed me that those very breakfast bars sold at 24 hour fitness not only contain 9 different sugars (the bad kind), but plastic that the body can not digest....yest PLASTIC!!! No more as I am now intending to be a raw foodist for life!

I just love how I feel mentally, physically, and spiritually when on this lifestyle. I figure that by Day 9, I have been 95% raw so I dont intend on ever going back to SAD food ever again.

My detox problems come and go, but mine is mostly fatigue and sleepiness on some days, but today I did have a bunch of energy on very little sleep. So it varies significantly. I'd love to hear about your initial detox stories, the length of your detox, symptoms, etc. I know that mine may last a while since I have so much waste in my system still, but am optimisitic in knowing that it is slowly going away! ;)

Love,

Sara
