Get off of Aciphex

How can I help my husband to get off of Aciphex? He isn't interested in going raw, although I have gotten him to drink a green smoothie every morning. After I read Green For Life, I realized that many of his issues are caused by not enough hydrochloric acid in his stomach. If he won't go raw, will the addition of Betaine Hydrochloride or Enzymes help him to quit the aciphex?
