Is anyone else willing to come forward about a blueberry addiction? :o
In Oregon where I live, fresh local blueberries have been available for weeks now, and I'm hardly eating anything else. The U-pick price for these is as low as $1.10 a pound, which is like mana from heaven. :) (Best supermarket price I've seen yet: $3.50 a pound).
I think I've been eating at least 6 cups a DAY of these glorious little berries, every day, for weeks. I keep waiting to get sick of them, but no luck yet.
This seems to be a weird-o aspect of going raw. I remember a few months back when our supermarket carried champange mangos for a few weeks, and I ate 8-10 of those a day. And when watermelon came in June, I couldn't eat enough of it, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Anyone else have powerful mono-food cravings on raw? This goes against the SAD logic of balanced meals and everything in moderation. Is this my body signalling me that it needs something nutritionally? Or that I'm best nurished on seasonal produce? Or perhaps I'm just bored with my diet and seeking the thrill of the unusual. Who knows. I'm going to go eat some more blueberries. :)
