Has anyone experianced nausea after drinkning DECAF, Organic, water processed coffee?
Right now, I am feeling nauseated because I have been drinking green smoothies all day, then drank a cup and a half of coffee (decaf) WHY do I feel like I am going to vomit?
I used to LOVE coffee, even if it was decaf.
blehhhhckkkkk. I wonder if my body is thinking coffee is poision, and to bring on the green smoothies instead? If so, our b odies are really smart.
Off to get some ginger or peppermint tea

FYI...the chemicals used in the process of decaffination are pretty horrific. think about the difference of dropping ink in a clear stream vs. a murky one....I find that when I'm the cleanest, I can be the most sensitive. we can acclimate to some pretty noxious stuff though!
sorry you felt sick....maybe some lemon juice to help your liver push it out

The organic decaf process is much different than the conventional process.
But coffee is still roasted, so the volatile oils in the coffee could be what made you nauseated.

thank you for your answers.
Oh, well, the worst is behind me now.. I am never going to drink that stuff again, bleh..
raw green tea is better for me, right?
Just the smell of the coffee left in the pot made me sick, so i had to dump the whole pot down the drain, even though the rest of my dear family loves it. I feel bad for wasting their expensive coffee though.
Better safe then nauseas, I guess.

Actually raw green tea is not that much better for you. It also contains caffeine which plays havoc on one's body.
Green smoothies. You won't need caffeine! Trust me.

It's still the processing to make it decaf. You may wish to google that. I don't know about "water processing" but I know I wont drink de-caf anything.
Is there some reason you wish to drink coffee or tea? If so, why not drink an herbal sun-heated tea that contains NO caffeine?

I just read that green tea had wonderful, super duper life inhancing properties, that's all. I think I am slightly allergic to it, though. I also heard it was good for weight loss as it speeds up the metabolism.
How can I be sure any herb for tea is truly raw? I have made herbal sun tea from both bulk herbs and from store bought tea bags, too. I know that probably the store bought tea, although it's herbal, isn't raw.
Where do you buy your raw herbs, Please?
Thanks

Somebody here may be able to answer the question about raw herbs. I don't use herbs myself. I was just thinking since you "seem" to be determined to drink tea/coffee, herbal tea would be a better alternative.
As far as green tea having super-duper life-enhancing properties, I think the same can be had from raw fruits and veggies without the caffeine. Movement naturally speeds up the metabolism as does eating 5-6 small meals a day and dare I say it? Green smoothies. I also think it's the caffeine that does it, not the tea itself. Not sure. Never looked at that meself.
Don't think I've been much help here. :(

Wow! It's actually good to know that someone else experienced this. I have been drinking coffee for YEARS!! and i LOVED IT!!! I was frequent Starbucks customer. They knew me by name! But when I started eating raw and drinking green smoothies. The smell of coffee made me very sick. I couldn't force myself to drink it.
I attributed it to the acidic quality of caffeine. And that eating raw turns your system slightly alkaline which is good for you. I don't think I can deal with the acid anymore. Other foods, I can no longer eat sugarless gum or mints. Yuck!
But..the problem with me is that although my stomache presses the eject button on the coffee. My brain still wants it. It's such a ritualized thing. Today, I actually ran into an alternative coffee bar. Instead of expresso lattes, they offered Mate lattes. Mate being a Yerban herbal plant that some people drink as a tea or roast it and enjoy it as a hot beverage similiar to coffee. I would love to know more about this. Does anyone have an information. As an alternative, I have to say the Mate Lattee was completely satifying and didn't give me the ill effects that coffee now does.
