Hi all can someone tell me when you go raw if you can handle the hot summers much better than the average. We just recently went raw and my husband could not handle the heat too well. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was just me, and it may very well be. However, I find that I am always a little cooler than others now. This has been the case since I went raw.

Hope that helps.

I can handle hot flashes (personal summers) better. :D Probably not of much help though, huh?

I hadn't really heard any stories of tolerating heat better...only stories of people being able to handle cold weather much better when raw. But perhaps if one can happen, the other can too!

I read in Shelly's book that she tolerates heat much better after going raw. You can download a free copy at:

O/T (sorry for the short hijack) That book is AWESOME isn't it Autumn? That was the first raw book I've ever owned and it was inspiring on so many different levels! I recommend it to a LOT of people I know who are sick, especially when the meds aren't doing any good. (okay, back to our regularly scheduled program!)

Hi,

last summer it was 105 for several days, and I was sitting in front of the air conditioner (I was eating cooked food), but when I was too tired to eat cooked food, and all I drank was juice, I would feel so much cooler. I could go outside and not feel too hot, it was still 105 degrees. So, I think when you are raw, your body simply works better.

Cherie,
It was the first one I owned as well-I had never heard of raw before it! :)
