I just got the book and my very first recipe to try was the angel hair pasta. I fell in love with it. I couldn't get enough. We made ours with a little exta cayenne pepper to give it a little kick. This was my first time having sun dried tomatoes, and dates. It is something that I will be having often.

I love a lot of her recipes: the stuffed mushrooms, the collard wraps, the CREPES!, the carrot ginger soup, the chili, the different smoothies and juices... I LOVE her fudge balls and her blueberry pie and "white brownies".

Just try what looks good to you. ;) I love Alissa's book!

Well, I am new and haven't tried many of her recipes, but I love, love, LOVE her fettucini alfredo (though when I made it tonight it didn't turn out as well) and her spinach dip (though I add a clove of garlic).

Both of these are right up there with my old favorites--guacamole and Indiana tomatoes. (Pink Girls are my fave!)

There are many other recipes that I haven't tried, but look intriguing, like the fudge balls. And I don't have a dehydrator, so I can't try some of the recipes that appeal to me.

The date nut torte was too sweet for me the first night, but after being in the fridge overnight it didn't seem as sweet--go figure.

The banana ice cream didn't turn out well---I think I need a Vitamix? I will not be making this again in a food processor--too much effort!

Other than that, I have liked all the food. Alissa's book ROCKS!

Oooh! That is a tough one to narrow it down. The Indian Spinach dip is about my top fave right now. I add a small amt. of ground nuts for creaminess. Next is the butternut squash noodles and curry. The Pad Thai is awsome--even SAD eaters at work adored it. Salmon pate is wonderful as is sunny pate--both awsome in a collard green wraps with lots of chopped veggies--the absolute best lunch or dinner. So very many of her recipes are staples and with personal touches--endless variety. Enjoy!

I recently made this really good banana ice cream:

It was easy to make in the food processor and sooooo yummy. I ate it up in 2 days!

I love Alissa's walnut pesto - so divine, and esp as mushroom caps.
Also give thumbs up to her sour cream and cheddar cheese sauce.
Date nut torte is super yummy too!!!

Made her chocolate chip cookies, and unforunately my walnuts were a bit off, otherwise i think it would have been amaazing...is on my list to make again.
any feedback on these?

hmmm, let's see.....

I love the date nut torte, mock salmon and sunny pate, blueberry pie, banana ice cream, collard wraps, and pesto stuffed mushrooms so far.

I am systematically working my way through the recipes and trying all kinds of new things, some thing I like and some I don't. Some things I don't like other people who try it do and vice-versa. This way of eating is still somewhat new to me so I try everything I can even if I think it doesn't look good I am sometimes pleasantly surprised.

I see this as a great adventure so I am trying it all! :)

Her Marinara sauce is to die for! It is fabulous!
Also love the blueberry pie recipe. Her calzone crust to make pizza out of is great too!

Hmmm, collard wraps, calzone, enchiladas, date nut torte, mock salmon pate, almost tuna, onion dip, pad thai, crepes, pizza and I am sure I am missing lots of others that aren't popping into my head right now!

Some of my favorites are: Indian Spinach Dip, Mock salmon pate and sunny pate, carrot pecan burgers, broccamole and marinara sauce.

I'd like to try some others, but left the book in Massachusetts, and am in NY for awhile.
