Wow, I see someone from Evanston and someone from Chicago. So maybe we'll bump into one another at Whole Foods, eh? But this is my two week anniversary on raw foods and happy to be here. I've only lost three pounds, but my dimensions seem to be lessening. So that's good. A friend of mine eats raw foods and after seeing her and listening to what she had to say a couple of weeks ago, I immediately started as well. I'm in my mid 50s, am 180 lbs. and have scads of health issues. Too many to list for now. But my very first enlightenment regarding raw came when I went for a dental visit last week. Instead of my heart beating 240 over the angst of the whole ordeal, no reaction came at all. I calmly sat there and even made another appointment a few days later with the same results. Now THAT's amazing. The weight loss will be nice when it comes, but to be able to sit through dentistry unfazed. Unbelievable.

I made a green drink out of mango and some very curly greens that I've unfortunately forgotten the name of.

Hey RAWk, I started 2 weeks ago at 183. Can't imagine getting down to 120, as it seems my metabolism is mud slow, but I'll take whatever I can get. I lost three pounds the first week, but then put on one. I'm pretty discouraged about that, but I like eating this way, so I'll keep on going.
