I just wanted to let you all know how awesome Sea Green Smoothies are!

At first I just kinda forced myself to drink them...because I think we all need more sea vegetables in our diet. Now...I love them. And even crave them.

What I have been doing is adding Dulse (seaweed) to my green smoothies. So it's: Bananas, a big leaf of Kale, apple juice, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup or more of dulse...sometimes I add some honey cashew milk and maca powder.

It's a great way to get your sea vegetables in. And also a great way to break them down to absorb all the nutrients.

I haven't tried this on my son yet. I have a feeling he will not like it. But for him I have been blending the dulse with our corn chowder. Makes it more like clam chowder with the fishy taste.

I just wanted to remind everyone that we need the sea vegetables just as much as the land ones. They provide a source of iodine that carries away toxic metals from our bodies.

I bought some organic dulse granules (it tastes like salt almost) I'm wanting to start using it, maybe on veggies, but I'm not sure about putting it in my delicious smoothie cause its so salty.

I'm not a fan of sea vegetables. The weird thing is that I used to love seafood before I became a vegan. But the sea veggies? Ick

Although, who knows...maybe it'll taste good with the fruit in the green smoothies? I'm open minded...I'll give it a shot!

Would that be expensive, a half cup of dulse at a time? I think that would be about half of one of the bags that I got.

Zella Juice - thanks for sharing! Yes, it's so important that we eat our sea veggies AND land veggies; especially for those with thyroid conditions.
I am hooked on Dulse that is smoked with applewood. I happened upon it from Natural Zing (www.naturalzing.com) and thought I'd give it a chance. WHOA! It has a wonderful aroma AND taste. http://www.naturalzing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1052
I usually just eat my sea veggies right from the bag, throughout the day. They are my snack. I always have some kind of sea veggie in my backpack.

Kristen...I know what you mean...after I read that I needed to add more sea veggies..I was not happy. I didn't even like my first few sea smoothies. But it's weird..now I am really craving them.

as for cost...I bought a bag of dulse on realrawfood.com and it was 18 bucks plus shipping. It's a huge bag....good for lots of smoothies.
