Hi, I'm a super newbie and I'm reading all about the love for the excalibers but my neighbor is selling a 5 shelf OYSTER electric dehydrator

any reviews/comments???

Hey there! I know Oster makes good products. I'd say if it's a good deal - nab it. You can always upgrade later - and re-sell the Oster!!! ;)

Just make sure it has a temperature control! If not, it may be preset to a temperature much higher than what would be considered raw. You can also look into the Nesco American Harvest Snackmaster with temp. control at www.nesco.com or www.everythingkitchens.com
