Hi folks,

I've been going crazy the last year trying to figure out why I keep getting itchy blisters on my hands and finally think it could be corn. I'm so upset because corn is in so many things from toothpaste to even dates. I really think it has something to do with all the genetically modified corn out there and I'm wondering if anyone has had the same allergy and if they could consume organic corn? I really want to make those corn tortillas. I'm so frustrated because I am also showing reactions to cashews, almonds, rice, bell peppers and tomatoes. This is crazy when I never had any food sensitivies before and now when I am trying to make raw dishes I feel so limited. The zucchini marinara was one of the easiest things for me to make and now I can't eat tomatoes. I can't even use cashews for the alfredo sauce. I guess I'm venting a bit here because I feel angry that our food supply is so tainted. I hate having to watch everything I eat in fear that I will start itching. If any of you have some suggestions or personal experience I would love to hear them.

Thanks

Thanks spicyfull,

It seems to be going away again. I guess I have to stay away from corn for a while. :(

I have eczema. It comes and goes. For me the worst time is usually from fall into winter. Perhaps the use of indoor heat? Not sure. I haven't found a cause for it, but I've found if I treat it with OTC cortisone cream as soon as I get that first itch, it usually keeps it in check.
