Ok so I went on vacation. I took my blender, and food processor and stayed realistically 50% raw. Well I gained 6 POUNDS how does one do that in one week! UGH! Could it be because I had been 80-90% raw and then went to 50%. I have increased my cardio, but also had my thyroid checked yesterday. I have been doing green smoothies 2x daily, my husband said I eat to much. I eat when I am hungry. Also, I am finding now since I have been back, I am a little board with what I am eating. Help!

I find that I ALWAYS gain weight on vacation. Even when I don't hardly eat anything and/or maintaining a high percentage of raw food. I find that for me, it is mostly water and I have a hard time "moving things through" when on vacation. Maybe try a juice fast to get you back on track.

Thanks, I can't get into the juicing thing. I could maybe try like a orange a grapefruit juice, but I thought most said they just gain that back. My other thought is am I putting to much fruit in my smoothies? I usually do 3 servings of fruit to 2 servings of spinach and a tablespoon of Alissas green powder. Also, I got my thyroid results back, they are normal. No reason for all that weight gain. I get so frustrated, although I am the same weight I was when my kids were a year old but I look a lot better, toner and look in better shape, so I should look at that positive.

Since you ate half of your food cooked it might be the reason. Raw foods(truly raw foods - not dehydrated or oil) will not make you gain, doesn't matter how much you eat.
I am trying to stay 70 percent raw, which means I allow myself no more then 500 calories cooked. Since I have food addiction, I can not know how much of cooked I eat unless I actually count. I don't know if that is your case.
Good luck!

I had a hard time starting with juicing too, but found that any juice with pineapple is yummy! But at the same time I don't particularly enjoy green juice but I appreciate the way I feel for the rest of the day if that makes any sense. Either way, just do what you can. And focus on the positives of raw. Maybe your body is just trying to find its equilibrium again after vacation.

Good point about my body trying to find its equilibrium. Thanks

Were you eating at restaurants? It's possible you're retaining a lot of water. When I was eating SAD, my weight would fluctuate as much as 7 lbs. in 24 hours if I ate a lot of salt. Try drinking lots of water and see if it doesn't flush out the excess. Good luck!
