There is a "Master Cleansing" in almost every RAW testimonials.
Unfortunately there is no explanation about :
HOW TO DO IT
and

May I ask my RAW Friends

Thank you.

Hi Maria,
I'm doing the Master Cleanse today :D Don't know how long I'll go. 9 days is the longest I've ever gone.
Here are 2 links that explain the Master Cleanse. One is long and in more detail. The shorter one has a bulletin board:

I just did a 10 day master cleanse. I actually went to the book store and read the book by Stanley Burroughs, "The master cleanse". It took me all of 15 minutes. You basically drink the lemon water mixture.
After 10 days, I feel light and airy and like I am clean on the inside. I have given my digestive system a break. I must say, it was hard not eating for the first 3 days, but after that, it gets a lot easier.
Good luck!

I am seriously considering to do a 10 day Master Cleanse. It is my understanding that doing salt water flush in the morning and drinking laxative tea at night can produce additional beneficial results during the Master Cleanse. My question is with respect to salt water flush -- is it necessary to use Celtic Sea Salt? Is there anything wrong with GENERIC SEA SALT (noniodized, of course) commonly sold by Whole Foods and Wild Oats? I'd rather use Celtic Sea Salt, which is supposedly loaded with minerals, with my raw food. What is everyone's take on it?

I've done the Master Cleanse on several occasions, once for 21 days. It cured a terrible allergy. However, i understand the maple syrup is highly processed, cooked!! And according to Frederick P, the Raw Secrets author, he says a plain fast is better. i can't say, i've never done a water fast. all i know is i will never do the master cleanse again, i've done it so often i can't even bear the smell of the lemon drink anymore. i always ended up just drinking one glass of the stuff by end of the fast.
the salt water is digusting, i found the laxative tea in the evening was enough. i really think the salt water is too much for people whose systems are quite good, especially those on raw. i think the salt water is for meat eaters and those with constipation, because i was in the bathroom quite long enough with just the lemon and the laxative tea.

I've tried the Master Cleanse several times but can't make it past 6 days. But I wanted to say that the celtic sea salt really makes the difference. I tried regular sea salt and threw up. Celtic is so gentle and actually tastes pretty good. The hard part, for me, in doing the salt water flush is the amount of water. Getting 2 quarts down of any liquid is a lot.
Good luck if you decide to cleanse.

Thanks, Sparkle, for your helpful feedback on Celtic Sea Salt. I will stick with this particular salt for the morning flush after all. There is no sense to subsitute for something else when a particular brand definitely works. I guess this is true in many instances in our life. Anyway, I will need to order some Celtic Sea Salt. Does anyone have a recommended online store to purchase salt?

Whole Foods carries Celtic Sea Salt usually. Might just ask. It's sometimes hidden where it cannot be seen.

After I did RAW food, I started having rashes all over my body;
I even could not sleep at all.
Then I thought I have to do master cleanse.
I did that too, but rashes would not go away.
Helen of Tennessee suggested that this is not a good time for master cleanse, because you are in detox period.
I want to know if anyone have had same problem with Raw food before, and what should I do besides scratching myself!?

Hi Maria & others,
You can do a master cleanse while detoxing, it's just if the detox is too much for you to handle, then I wouldn't do the cleanse, I would slow down my transition to the point where I could handle the detox. Then slowly increase the raw foods and go ahead and try the master cleanse, but if the detox is too much to handle, then I would quite.
Some people who have the time (time off of work, no little children to take care of) will go 100% RAW or do a fast and just ride the rough detox. It gets over a lot quick, but if you're not able to, then I would transition. IMHO.

Hi. I am also interested in the Master Cleanser. I read in your reply that you have the master cleanser in an email. I was wondering if I could receive that email. My email is Amazon9876@aol.com. I would greatly appreciate. Have a great day!

I've tried the Master Cleanse several times but can't make it past 6 days.
If you can only do this for 2 days it is worth it. Sometimes it takes practice to fast... BTW NEVER Try a water fast it is dangerous. If you can do a fast for 2 days a few times then build up to 3 days then 4 days etc... that is better than trying to do lots of days getting discouraged and not ever trying it again.
Love,
Angie

Hi Allie,
If you go up to the 2nd post (my first post), you will find 2 links to the Master Cleanse Program. Once of them is quite long and gives great details of the Master Cleanse Program.
