hey mark... my dh has the same problem. I haven't quite figured out why- so I will be watching your post to see what the older rawbies have to say! as far as fruits and veggies - I do believe there are some that shouldn't be eaten together. Umm... sorry thou - I dunno the list! :o guess I better pay attention to that answer too!! ;)

When I first went raw, I made Lissa's Fettecini (spelling bee loser) It was so rich and so nutty that I literally almost threw up, I couldnt handle it. But 2 years of raw later NOT A PROBLEM... Lay the nuts on me....

OMG... I didn't mean, I, uh... oh... eh... Wait... I... I gotta go!

Things definitely "move along" better for me when I don't eat nuts.

Eating fruits and veggies together. They say that mono eating is the best for digestion then the next best is all fruit, the next best is fruits & veggie/fruits like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers....veggies with seeds.

I only eat nuts when my body seems to need them these days. I find they slow me and my digestive system down as well. If I want something rich and heavy, usually an avocado will do the trick with no ill effects.

I also find that avocados and green leafy veggies are the best for eating them with anything else I feel like without any digestive issues. My stomach was not thrilled when I was making crazy salads with a million items. I try to limit my salads to five items these days, and that seems to do the trick.

I know Alissa has some more specific food combining info in her book, but I haven't referenced it in a while. I do remember a lot of it making a lot of sense, though. I should probably refresh my memory on those. If you have her book, that is really helpful.
