I have my first ever young coconut sitting on my kitchen counter. I watched the you tube video about how to open the young coconut:

and I am wondering what to do next ? I thought maybe I would try putting the coconut juice into ice cubes for use later on a hot day. What other ways can I use the coconut juice ? What ways can I use the coconut meat ?

see the banana up above... Do a search and it will show you all the previous threads posted that talk about what you can do!!;)

Personally - I love frozen coconut juice - I make ice cream with it! and the meat... well... :o it ususally doesn't last very long - cuz I loove it and eat it all up!

I'll be back to see all the suggestions you get though! lol! I'm curious too! I really should get more 'creative' with it - rather than just inhaling it!! :D

I buy three or four at a time. Freeze some of the juice, some I use fresh.
I use ice cube trays and popcycle holders. They freeze well and are great in smoothies etc. I also clean the meat cut into strips or squares and IQF in my freezer for use later.
