I have a small compost pile, haven't added anything to it since the beginning of spring, I looked at it yesterday and something is growing - it has long runners with big green leaves and yellow flowers, I'm wondering if it's watermelons, squash, pumpkins ?? It must be from seeds in my veg/fruit scraps. Can't wait to see what it turns out to be!:D

That's awesome. My friend accidently grew a peach tree in her compost pile. The eventually transplated it into another part of their yard. They moved away shortly after that, so we don't really know how well it did after it was transplanted.
