Just ordered some raw olives from David Wolfe's site - question - should I refrigerate them? How do I store them and how long do they last?

Are they in brine (liquid)? If yes, then definitely put in fridge. They should last a couple weeks. If dried, I don't believe they would need refrigeration. You may wanna double check by e-mailing his web site directly. I get mine from

I love the kalamata olives and I put them in the fridge and they last a couple weeks or so...I've tried some dried black olives and don't care for them. I never have liked black olives. To me they taste like a tin can...metal tasting.

i found some organic sundried olives at my HFS... would these be okay? i know theyre sealed in a jar, which some people say uses a lot of heat = not raw, but arent the ones on david wolfes site in a jar too?? is that okay, then? ive been really craving olives and not sure if these ones are okay
sorry to hijack :D

Mine came sealed in a plastic bag - dried olives, not in brine. According to his website, they are raw.. they're black olives - sooo good!

The raw olives I buy are packed in jars but not vacuum packed. You could always check with the company and see if they have been processed.
