There are some recent threads out there about planning for emergencies.
Pet owners, what emergency plans have you made for your pets? I need some ideas, comments and/or experiences (nothing too sad that would make me cry, please). I have a 12lb doggy.

A few thoughts: Always have plenty of pet food, clean drinkable water, and medications on hand in case of disaster/emergency, just don't ever run low. Talk through a "what would you do" plan with your SO/friends/family so someone is on point for your pet as backup if you can't get home. Get a sticker for your door/window from the pet store that indicates what type and how many pets are inside in case of fire. Carry a note in your wallet that has YOUR medical info and local contact numbers but also states that you have a pet at home that needs care! Tape up both sides and it will last a long time in your wallet almost like being laminated.
