I was doing so well for a while then my friend from college came to visit and somehow we ended up baking cookies and i caved in and last night i ate 6-7 cookies, a veggie burger, a peanut butter and banana sandwhich and a vegan stromboli. i felt HORRIBLE this morning. gassy, bloated, heartburn, nauseous and now all i want to eat for the next couple of days is lemon water, kombucha, diluted grapefruit juice and other detoxifying things not bc i feel like i have to necessarily but bc they appeal to me. i went out in the kitchen and looked at the shriveled harden cooked cooked from last night on the counter and i wondered how i could have eaten them, they looked hard and gross. i think last nights experience really reiniforced my desire to stay raw and now i want to eat a much simpler diet as a result.
And green smoothies! Those are cleansing too!
It happens to the best of us. At least you have warning signs that work well enough to tell you it's not right for your body (like the bloating etc.).

Hey, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. Not a big deal. Now if you had done this for weeks - THAT would be a big deal. Did you learn from this? Well then, that was the point. We all learn from the bad choices we make. We are (or should be) taught that from childhood - Life is about choices.

Great advice from the rawbies here! The great thing is what you are craving now! That's awesome -- you're not sticking your head into a bucket of chicken and gorging yourself and spiraling out -- you are craving wonderful vibrant foods and cleansing soothing drinks - that's pretty cool!!
so - you jes pick up and keep on keepin on!! RAWK ON! You're doin just fine... ;) :D
