I just turned 53 years old, have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Though I started investigating the vegan and then raw diet choices, I have not been consistent. Joining this 30-day challenge is quite a commitment for me. During this 30 days, we will vacation, celebrate our 34th anniversary, and our youngest daughter will be moving out. I am excited about having this reason to be consistent and started today - 2 days early -)

A friend and I have learned much together about eating raw. We look forward to continuing to learn.

Hello all,
I was given the ultimate gift of a second second chance.
My boyfriends mother passed on 7/31/07 and it was the most sad unneccessary, and avoidable death. You see she was apparently heart broken. Her husband told her he didn't love her now or ever. She used to be 300lbs+.
Her husband who was her 13 years her junior didn't like her "so big." She lost weight she went from a size 34 to a size 4. Was he happy then? If you said no you would be correct. He said she was too flabby. No matter what she did it wasn't enough. He is an alchoholic. She begin to drink. This is so unfortunate because this is Why she died. Her liver could not take it. Her kidney were damaged because of her liver not functioning correctly. She suffered and declined quickly.. Why????????? Well, we know why.

I am now motivated by her, because in the end the why doesn't matter. I will not have my daughter and my loved ones watch me go through that. I have rededicated myself to myself. I have not cheated not once since returning home. It is clear that no one may know but myself. We all are obligated to take care of ourselves. It is not an option. We owe it to ourselves and our loved ones.
