hi!
my name is christy, i'm 26, and seriously considering the switch from the typical american crap diet to raw (well, maybe not all raw, but mostly!). i have a laundry list of health issues, mostly that i am about 180# too heavy, i tire easily, my skin looks gross (to me), and i have r.a. and ankylosing spondylitis (spinal fusion and inflammation, which has also caused a pinched nerve in my hip). so, exercising, and occasionally even just walking, is hard for me. i figure if changing something as simple as my eating habits will help alleviate or rid me of those problems, then why not? i'm also trying to ward off diabetes, b/c it is much too common in my family. my only worry is that i am incredibly picky! some things i like the flavor of, but i won't eat (like green bell pepper...i like fajita chicken cooked with them, but i don't like the peppers themselves). i don't eat red meat much anymore, i don't like pork, but chicken might be hard to quit :) anyway, i'm sure i'll have more questions and post them in a more appropriate thread, just wanted to introduce myself, and say i look forward to "meeting" you all and learning as much as there is to know!
