marinated mushrooms

Does anyone know how long you can keep mushrooms in a marinade of tamari in the fridge? (I have been soaking mine for 2 days) Do they 'go bad' or is it ok to soak for 2 or more days??? Thanks.

The salt should preserve them for quite a long time. Think about marinated, mushrooms in a jar that you buy from the store, as long as they remain in the fridge they will last a month or so.

Also I have marinated both mushrooms and onions and left them in the fridge for a week so I think you are fine.

I went to the Garlic festival in Gilroy over the weekend and had lots of the most wonderful marinted mushrooms--oh so garlicky and good. They seemed to have been soaked for a couple days--still firm and very tasty. What did you end up putting in yours?

i hate mushrooms but i could LIVE on marinated ones. same with onions. SO GOOOOOOOOOD

They will last a long time....I also do mine with GARLIC..........Here's 2 sence worth...Taste and Smell...
