I usually just let fruit lay around the house, but that means I have to go shopping fairly often, or else it will obviously spoil.
So, does it lose enzymes and nutrients when put in the fridge?

Nah. At least, not as far as I know. I never claim to be all-knowing, but I really doubt you'd kill off enzymes by putting stuff in the fridge. If you freeze stuff, that might be a different matter. Sorry I couldn't give a more well-thought-out response, but I'm about to head out the door.

I put everything in the fridge. Otherwise my kitten will eat it/hide it/play with it.

I don't have room in my fridge for most of my fruit. I only put the things in there that need refrigeration. Like cherries and berries or cut up things. I bought a Fresh Box for the stuff that I leave out. It's supposed to keep them fresher, but I'm not really sure it does. Some things seem to go really moldy quickly in there. Like apricots. Not that anyone ever eats them in my house. Wish they weren't in my organic produce box.
