View Full Version : COLA craving...........
Cola Craving.
Guys you should have seen,
I stocked up huge on raw stuff today. YES! But couldnt resist grabbing
huge bottles of cola.
Now before you tell me to substitute orange juice - NO !
I am craving that TASTE..... Now Alissa say's don't deprive.
Why can't their be a RAW Cola??!! Isn't it a nut? Where to get? How 'bout
mixing with fermented rejuvelac? + honey?
Maybe the ORIGINAL coke formula was a RAW health drink ( it's secret)
and corporate America again screwed the public unmercifully with distorting it.
;) ;)

eeeeeewww rejuvalac cola! -Ill stick to my canned la croix sparkling water!
anyways -ya ,I think if they were trying to screw us theyd have left the original ingredient-cocaine  in (or did they even take it out!!??) -explains my 14 can a day habit -and "eccentric" behaivior ;) ......hmmm lol im KIDDING of course! :p
but if the coke is your one "luxury" and helps you buy a bunch of raw goodies GREAT! :D

I know what you mean about cola- My wonderful dad got me hooked on the stuff right after breastfeeding I think- I have stuggled with this, and I do chug a diet rite every now and then. I just started telling myself, I can't have a soda until I drink atleast 2 full glasses of water first... then I would drink the soda and it didn't have the same effect because I had drank all the water and I didn't feel the need for it anymore- so it is a good little system if you want to cut down....
I did expeiriment with making some rootbeer with dried cloves- I boiled a cup of water, then I seeped about 5 cloves in it for 5 minutes. After that I removed the cloves and added agave and vanilla for sweetness- it was pretty damn good over ice! It reminded me of watered down Barq's....
Just a thought :)

VERY cool idea!~I bet saspirilla (root?) would also be effective ,and add some sparkling water
here in texas we have saspirilla tea ,but everyone calls it "sweet tea"
Can I have some sweet tea ? ....they ask the waitresses
eeewwww ,reminds me of this resturaunt in rural-world that has a permenent daily "menu" (smorgasboard)of fried chicken and/or (usually and)chicken&dumplins, biscuits, greens, and cherry COBBLA'! with a big cup of SWEET TEA!

You might try one of the "natural" colas such as Hansens, or Dr. whatever's. And no, the original Coke was not likely raw as the cocaine was most likely heated.
Injoy ~

Also there is now , "izzie" soda and "the tap" cola
izzie has only fruit juice as a sweetener
and the "the tap" is green tea cola

I recall something about Cola being VERY acidic and destructive to the probiotic intestinal flora or something like that... You may want to follow your Cola drink (after some time) with a probiotic food or supplement. I like raw sauerkraut and Kim Chee but I'm sure a couple of acidophilus capsules from the fridge would do the trick...

You can cut down by mixing half cola and half naturally carbonated water. That way you are cutting the sugar in half and you still get the fizz.
