`
i just got tons of tomaotes that are almost too ripe.
they are very soft, i couldn't even wash them without them falling apart
so, I decided to just toss them, unswashed, whole, in a baggy and into the
freezer!
I know that doesn't sound thrilling, but I discovered something that I didnt know before....
after the overripe tomatoes are frozen, I can then wash them under running
running water REALLY well, since they are conventional, and the skins some right off easily, and they are a cinch to wash this way!!! LOLOLOL:D
Then, after they are washed and "peeled", I then slice them thinly while they are still frozen (don't worry, it's REALLY easy to slice frozen, overripe tomatoes after they have been under running water a few minutes) and then they are ready to go into recipies when I need them.
I like to discover new ways to prepare food, especially if it's simple and inexpensive!!
