Hello,
I've been a raw fooder for about 4 years. During the first year i felt great, i had never felt like that before, it was really amazing. Unfortunately later i started to feel worse. I gained weight, i lost a lot of my hair (and i'm still loosing lots of them everyday).
I don't know what can be wrong because my diet consist of green leaves, fruits and vegetables. Rarely i eat nuts and seeds because i feel bloated after them.
i have a big belly, i don't feel good with it,
have you ever experienced one of this symptomps?
I would be grateful if you could advice me something.

Try some blended foods, so the nutrients are more accessable.
Green smoothies are the best options.
If nuts make you feel yucky, try avocados, or young coconuts (blended, meat + water).
Those tend to feel far better for me, digestion wise.
You could also try supplementation with Alissa's green powder.
Good luck!

Wow, this post made me feel concerned. Being relatively new, I am just wondering, You say you have been raw for 4 YEARS and you have a weight problem? I don't understand. I was under the impression that being raw would naturally have you loosing weight.

maybe it's a thyroid thing. Blended greens (green smoothies) are the best. But don't forget your sea vegetables too. I blend dulse in with my corn chowder or sometimes I just throw it in with my smoothies. Adding the sea vegetables to my diet really helped me.

Don't worry jeannieh! I feel best on raw food but the problem is i still do not feel perfect. It doesn't have anything with raw food. Only once during my raw years i tried cooked food and i felt terrible after it. That's why i will always recommend 100% raw, low fat diet. I see some amazing changes in my family who transisted to raw, plant diet. And it's not really that i have a weight problem - it was like that i lost a lot of weight first year and then i gained some weight but i'm not overweigted or something,i'm skinny, i have only a big belly maybe because i feel bloated sometimes maybe because i have some hormonal problmes. that's why i want to ask.
thank you everybody for your advices :-)
have a nice day :-)

Thats an interesting thought. Maybe leeloo is sharing his/her food after eating it ? Possibly the big belly is the result of eating for two (or a thousand) while being skinny and not getting the nutrients the body needs ?

I was just reading about intestinal parasites at this site:
http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/conditionsitoq/a/Parasites.htm
They mention garlic as a possible natural remedie which I am glad to hear because I like the taste of garlic and put a clove in almost every juice I make. Hopefully this is giving me some protection against parasites.

im not sure about the belly, but for the hair loss problem:
a lady at a supplement store told me that once she started taking maca root powder, her hair stopped falling out. once i read your post as well that you have hormonal problems, it seems even more likely it might work... as maca balances your hormones. give it a try! i love it, it makes you feel fantastic. more energy too! and libido
