So, talk to me about sweet corn.

We're getting the first corn of the season around here, and I've been enjoying it, but...it seems to go right through me, if you kwim. I'm assuming this means that I'm getting minimal nutritional value from it. Anyone have any insight into this? Is it just something that doesn't work for my body? Or should I just write it off as particularly tasty fiber? :o

Edited to add: I am trying to chew well, but still....

I'd say as long as you were enjoying it and it wasn't causing you any health ramifications, then go for it :D

I eat raw sweet corn too and it is a great source of fiber. Don't worry that it is going right through you....it's taking toxins with it.

Corn is great in a smoothie. Just cut the kernels off and add then into a smoothie. They taste nice and sweet in there too. Give it a try, you will love it. Doug in Calif...100% Raw and loving it.

I always wondered if RAW corn did this to our bodies too.

It's nice to ehar that it is taking toxins with it.

I've felt the same as you.
