Great Day to All! I've been checkin' out this forum for a while now and think it's awesome! I need to know if anyone anywhere out there has done raw simply. No recipes or preparations. Just straight up. The way nature births it. I've had a on again off again experience with raw food and am very intrigued with this method. Seems very easy to commit to simplicity. Complicated recipes and time consuming preparation did it for me. I find that many of these recipes are reminders of former foods within the SAD. Understanding that these foods are transitional, does it stand to reason that they may not help with breaking addictions. What do ya'll think? Something in me resonates.

I eat pretty simply most of the time. Green Smoothies for breakfast, some fruit for a snack, Salad for Lunch. I personally find it hard during dinner unless I have something a little different like a prepared raw dish. It changes from day to day. Some days I can eat mostly greens and fruit and other days I want something rich and decadent.

I have been raw on and off for almost a year and a half now and I found that when I first started I really needed the "prepared" foods. Each time I go back to raw I find that I really don't need them so much. In fact it just occurred to me that I haven't had any of the more dense (lasagna, ravioli, pizza, etc.) prepared/processed dishes in almost a year-nor have I even craved them. Each time I go back to raw I eat more simply and it's fine. I used to drive about 20 miles to get those prepared foods and that was OK because they were great for transitional purposes. This time, other than 2 slips on cooked foods, I have been totally satisfied with fruits, salads, nuts and raw crackers. I even bought a food dehydrator last year so that I could prepare some of the prepared foods and I have yet to use it. Yep - still in the box! :p
