Providence Iron Chef Loves Raw Food

Earlier today, Adrienne Martin and I participated in Farm Fresh RI's (organizer of all local farms and farmer's markets and such) 1st Annual Iron Chef Competition. The event was to promote the local farmer's markets and all the delicious dishes one can make with all the fruits and veggies besides salads. We went up up against 2 legitimate restaurants and came out on top. We won the People's Choice Award. We would have won both People's Choice and Overall, but they didn't want to give it all to one team. How awesome is that!!!! The people choose our a duo of pastas: Raw Zucchini w/ a hearty marinara sauce and free form rustic lasagna and peach and cucumber compote cobbler with cashew cream sauce over what looked like really great seared tuna and scallop dishes! Everyone wanted to know where to get a saladacoo! GO RAW FOOD!

We had the best time!
It was so fun!
Maybe Erika can post some of the photos or at least a link to the photos...
People were really WOWED by the raw food. It was cool to be able to introduce people to new ways of eating beautiful fresh local produce.
oh, and p.s. Erika is the coolest raw chick EVER!!!! :D

Way to go Adrienne and Erika! You gals Rawked it!:D I am so proud and happy for both of you! Look out world! I do find that funny, though. It's probably the same people who would say "I could NEVER eat raw";) , and ya'll WON! Doing the happy dance over here!:D
