Hi all - this is a tip for other raw foodies from the UK.

I've come across a really great brand of organic virgin coconut oil available in the UK called 'Coconoil' - check out their website http://www.coconoil.co.uk/index.html

It is not bleached, deodorised or refined and it has Soil Association certification - oh and they do free delivery, and its cheaper the more you buy!

It tastes gooooood :D (much better than the rubbish I bought first time from Holland & Barrett)

Hey Blossom - yeh check it out. I actually bought it from a little health food store I found in Glasgow today. But I got home and checked out the website, and it's cheaper to buy it from there (and it's free delivery). Tastes so much better than the stuff I bought before - just healthier y'know?

Hey Cactus! No problem, it's good stuff.

Thanks for posting, I think we UK-ers need to give eachother support! I'm miffed I still can't find a few raw ingredients here - no luck finding raw coconuts or nutritional yeast.

I bought two coconuts from tesco as well. First one took me about 30 minutes to get into!!! haha. The second one was quicker after some technique!!!:D

Young green coconuts in Tesco!!!!! - I'll have to search my local ones - I've only ever seen them at the London Vegan Fest and I forgot to buy a couple last year :(

Yay for us UK raw-kers!

Thanks for the link Bampot :)

PS; I don't get a website for the link at all ??

I know, the UK is sooo behind with raw food :o
I have never been able to find nutritional yeast in the shops but purchased some off goodnessdirect.co.uk - very happy!
As for coconuts, I couldn't find them anywhere except an asian store which was a bit of a trek, until recently to my surprise I saw them in Sainsbury's! Only the mature ones though.

I did buy a coconut from Tesco when they were around in the summer and mine was rancid...........after taking about 1/2 hour to get into it :(

hello everyone,
What is the difference, in nutrition, between the normal coconut and young green ones? I have never heard of young green coconuts.
